Devonte Green added to the roster for Assembly Ball, IU’s TBT alumni team
The formation of IU’s first alumni team for The Basketball Tournament (TBT), Assembly Ball, was announced on May 1.
Today, Assembly Ball announced the fourth player for its inaugural roster – Devonte Green.
The 6-foot-3 guard, who averaged eight points and was a 37.7 percent 3-point shooter over 120 career games for the Hoosiers, will join Juwan Morgan, Troy Williams and Miller Kopp as the first four committed players.
TBT, which began in 2014, is a winner-take-all, $1 million tournament that takes place each summer beginning in July. Assembly Ball will play in the Butler Regional July 19-23 at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
Assembly Ball is scheduled to play its first game in the event on Friday, July 19 at 8 p.m. ET. Tickets are available at this link.
The complete bracket for this year’s TBT will be revealed on Thursday, June 20. Additional players for the Assembly Ball roster are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
TBT will feature 27 nationally televised games this summer, including three on FOX.
